I tried the new Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless range

Darlings! Charlotte Tilbury has launched two new iterations of its iconic Airbrush Flawless range, with a new Airbrush Flawless Foundation and Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray.

You're probably thinking – what's new about the formulas? Well, there's the promise of a natural, matte finish, with a longer-wearing, lighter feel.

Charlotte Tilbury products, especially those with a newer, fresher formula, rarely disappoint. So let's get into how much we rate the new foundation and setting spray.

Blurred, smoothed, poreless, flawless – that's what is promised with this bottle. But how does Charlotte Tilbury create such a look? The foundation is infused with 'light-diffusing' powders that help even and smooth the skin's texture.

The formula's technological advancements mimic the structure of skin's natural ceramides, helping to create a second-skin feel. It masks any tricky redness, blemishes, and uneven skin for 44 different skin shades in a range of cool, warm, and neutral undertones.

With what Charlotte Tilbury has coined as Phytoyouth Essence, this foundation also contains the plumping and revitalising benefits of skincare. Not only does your skin feel hydrated, but the formula is specially designed to feel light as air and breathable, holding its appearance even on hot and humid days.

I can attest to this – I struggle with skin redness, unevenness and frequent acne around my cheeks and chin. I felt like my blemishes had been covered nicely, without the product sitting too heavily. And although it has a matte finish, there was still a subtle glow to my skin.

Despite not being a huge fan of using foundation in the summer, I wore it over the weekend on a hot, stormy Saturday (read: I was sweaty), and my look held well for the entire evening.

Of course, once you've applied your makeup look, you'll need an effective setting spray to keep it all in place – all day, and all night. Enter: the lighter, mattifying, blurring Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray Matte.

Although it has a less dewy finish than its predecessor, the matte finish typically has a longer wear time, all the while keeping features looking smooth and crease-free.

If (like me) you're someone who struggles with your foundation starting to look a bit oily or greasy over time, this matte finish helps prevent this! I usually opt for a glowy look, but I actually really loved a more matte finish.

My skin definitely kept a smooth look, and I didn't have to worry about oiliness breaking through. I will be using this on repeat for summer.
