Sindy Nguyen is the Head of Search, Digital at Nine, where she leads the comprehensive search strategy for Nine.com.au - one of Australia’s premier digital destinations for news, sport, lifestyle, shopping and entertainment content reaching nearly 10 million Australians every month. In addition to her core portfolio, Sindy serves as a strategic consultant for Nine’s key network partners, helping to facilitate ongoing search optimisation strategies for major brands including Domain, Drive, Pedestrian and The Sydney Morning Herald.
Bringing a strong foundation from the digital marketing agency sector, Sindy joined Nine in 2019 as an SEO Specialist for 9Honey. In this capacity, she partnered closely with editorial teams to drive organic growth through daily optimisation, event-based search planning and robust data reporting.
Recognised for her strategic foresight, she stepped into the Acting Head of Search role in March 2021. During this pivotal period, she designed and implemented a comprehensive SEO training program to upskill journalists. Furthermore, she expanded Nine.com.au’s evergreen content strategy, driving critical audience engagement through highly visible explainer formats during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Appointed to her current role in December 2022, Sindy continuously navigates the dynamic intersection of a 24/7 news cycle and complex search algorithm updates, ensuring Nine maintains its competitive edge and dominant digital footprint in the Australian media landscape.

Sindy graduated with a Bachelor of Media (Communications and Journalism) from the University of New South Wales.
