Perth cops driest seven months on record, but relief could be on the way
Perth finally registered some showers yesterday but the damage may have already been done with the city clocking up its driest seven-month spell on record.
Natalia Cooper is a popular Channel Nine Presenter and has been a journalist for over two decades.
Born in Perth, she studied Journalism at Curtin University, and started in the local news industry in 2004. In her time at Nine Perth, she worked as a reporter, 6pm weather presenter and fill-in news reader for five years.
In 2012 Natalia relocated to NSW and began working as a reporter for 9News Sydney. She has covered bushfires, floods, cyclones, the Sydney terror attack and the Covid pandemic. She has also reported on visits from Prince Charles, Prince Harry and the Danish Royals.
Natalia quickly proved herself as a versatile correspondent for the Nine Network. After becoming weather presenter on Weekend Today in 2015 she landed the permanent weather role on Today in 2017.
In January 2019, Natalia welcomed her first child Ezra to the world with husband Carl.
In 2021 she returned home to Perth and 9News Perth. Natalia and Carl have since welcomed daughter Ruby into their family.
Natalia presents the weather weeknights, during 9News Afternoon at 4.00 and 9News 6.00 bulletins.
