Woman's simple online shopping trick goes viral

How many times have you bought something online, wishing you could try it with a specific outfit first?

Or perhaps you've ordered something, feeling overly confident about your beautiful new purchase only for it to arrive and look completely wrong in every way possible.

If you're one of those people, which is most likely all of us, then this clever trick may be one you want to try.

One woman from New Zealand has found a very simple solution to avoiding buyers remorse, and all she needed was a printer and a full length photo of herself.

The woman, named Megan, who works for the radio station ZM in Auckland, revealed her trick in a video that was posted the station's Facebook page.

In the video, Megan is seen scrolling through a selection of shoes, holding up a miniature full length cut out of herself in a side profile with the feet cut off so she can see how the outfit looks in full.

"Megan's online shoe shopping trick is too good," the caption for the video says.

Many commenters agreed labelling the hack "genius" and "game-changing".

The cut out is laminated so she doesn't damage it during online shopping marathons, allowing her to reuse the cut-out over multiple sites.

The clip quickly went viral, gaining over 14,000 likes, 45,000 comments and over 2.5 million views.

Although it won't help with testing the comfort of online shopping purchases, it will minimise the risk of making some terrible fashion choices.
