Woman's clever revenge on man who sent cruel insult on dating app

A woman came up with a clever way to get revenge on a man who sent her an insulting message over dating app Hinge.

Katie Pfeffer, from the USA, was going through her Hinge profile when she noticed a young man named Lake had left a cruel comment directed at her.

"Are you one of those hot girls that's just plain r----ded? Because your bio makes it look that way," Lake wrote with a laughing emoji.

Katie didn't take kindly to the rude message and cruel slur, so she decided to take revenge on Lake in the best way possible; by dobbing him in to his parents.

She hopped out of the Hinge app and onto Instagram, where she says she was able to find Lake's father's profile in just a few minutes of searching.

Grabbing a screenshot of Lake's vicious message, Katie then shared it with his father along with a blunt message.

"Sorry for the random message," she wrote. "Just thought you should know this is how your son speaks to women."

She then shared what she had done on Twitter, warning other men to "never underestimate a girl's investigation skills".

It was a clever way to get back at Lake and hopefully teach him some home truths, as we doubt his parents would be impressed by the rude message he sent Katie.

But things went a step further after Katie shared her revenge on twitter; other women contacted her saying they'd had similar experiences with Lake.

"Since posting this I've had four girls message me saying this man is abusive, manipulative and racist," she tweeted, tagging American food company General Mills in the post.

"I also found out he works as an intern for your company. If you'd like to know more, please dm me."

Many of Katie's follower praised her for her clever idea to show Lake's messages to his parents, however some grew concerned that she would get his employer involved.

A few claimed that what the young man says and does on his dating profile shouldn't affect his job.

However, others argued that if he was willing to use cruel language to put down strangers on the internet, he probably uses it in the real world too.

General Mills didn't appear to respond to Katie's message, but she certainly taught the men of Hinge a lesson: being cruel online will always come back to bite you.
