According to the TikToker – who is popular for her shopping hack tips – the cards are "like gift cards" that can be purchased by members and gifted to non-members.

The cards allow customers to shop at all Costco stores across Australia.

Although this may mean you don't need to be a member to shop at Costco, shoppers would still need to know someone who is a member to purchase the card for them.

As per the store's website, non-members who are gifted these cards also cannot reload the card once all the funds are spent.

Membership rules at Costco appear to have a history of stumping customers.

"I didn't remember Costco membership rules being this strict, but it seems they have changed since the discount retailer launched in Australia in 2009."
