A dog called Lola is being named the most pampered pooch in the UK after her owner admitted to spending £1,000 - $AUD 1,740 - on her Christmas presents...and even said she “loves her more than her son”.

Helena Mueller, 38, has bought 68 individually wrapped presents for the Cockapoo to open on Christmas day; including matching jumpers for pet and owner.

Mueller, 38, also admitted that her four-legged baby will get more presents than her six-year-old son Harry.

“I tried to hide that from Harry last year, but this time it's so obvious because there's so many.”

She added: “I do love my Lola more than Harry. You know, Lola never moans about homework, and she never complains about what's for dinner.

“She had her first snow yesterday, and I came in and realised I hadn't taken any pictures of Harry - but had absolutely loads of Lola, and that's what always happens.”

But Lola isn’t just spoiled on Christmas Day. The dog has her own bank account, and a monthly allowance of £100, or $174. In addition, Mueller has learned how to groom and launched her own salon named Lola’s Parlour.

Some of Lola’s lavish Christmas gifts include $64 on special shampoo, $73 on a coat to match her human owner and a dehydrator worth $256.

The dog also has her own pram for walks, in case the weather is too hot.
