Who should host family Christmas: An explainer

When it comes time to decide which family members will be hosting Christmas it should be stress free and easy, right?

With your family, is it always at one person’s house or do you mix it up?

Marriages, divorces, deaths, births – most family units are fairly fluid these days.  

Then what do you do when kids grow up and get married themselves?  

Want to add another layer to the family Christmas trifle?  It’s hard enough if you’re all in the one city but add in interstate or international flights! Yikes!

No wonder so many family feuds erupt in the festive season.

So, it comes down to the big question, is there too much pressure on Christmas Day? 

If you’re not religious, should families break it up into a number of festive functions?  Or is the craziness of Christmas morning with the relatives just the way it should be and keeps us all on our toes?
