This couple refused to let a little flood ruin their wedding

You can plan your wedding down to the most minute detail. But, no matter how hard you try, you can't control the weather.

Last weekend, Guangzhou in South East China recorded record rainfall, leaving many parts of the city submerged. The floods, the worst in 20 years, caused nearly 7000 people to be evacuated.

But these to be newly weds weren't going to let a little damp weather rain on their parade.

Due to get married last weekend, they forged ahead anyway and got married in a flooded wedding hall.

Video footage has since emerged of their guests dining in ankle-deep water, while servers wore rolled-up pants and gumboots wheeled food through the reception on trolleys. One woman can be seen walking with an umbrella through the packed venue.

The wedding has attracted global attention after the video was tweeted by People's China Daily.
