When asked how they were feeling, groom-to-be Steve said it was “phenomenal” to win, but that he was also “relieved”.
“We’ve been told, ‘You’re just perfect for each other’ as a couple,” Stevie said.
However, the couple revealed they have gone through some tough times together, particularly in the last four years.
Steve was diagnosed with melanoma, a type of skin cancer, which has come back four times.

However he praised his bride-to-be for being his “rock” through everything.
“She’s my absolute rock, I just love her to bits,” he said.
While the couple has certain endured some hardship, they met in quite a hilarious way.
“We met at my cousin’s wedding a couple of years ago where Steve thought he would give my aunty a lap dance,” Lauren explained to Jacobs and TODAY hosts Georgie Gardner and Deborah Knight.
“Basically, who wouldn’t love that?” she joked, adding it was ultimately Steve’s “energy and love of life” that drew her in.
The couple, who are the winners of the all-inclusive Northern Territory wedding, also made sure to give a shout out to Lauren’s aunty, who would definitely be receiving an invite as she takes credit for setting them up.
