The weight loss commercial with a surprise ending that will make you cry

Weight loss ads usually follow the same theme: woman fits both legs into one on old pair of jeans, woman dances around, woman laughs with her friends. Not particularly inspiring for those of us who want to slim down, and often a little boring. One commercial, however, is changing how women think about weight loss, and it'll definitely leave you needing a tissue.

The ad, from India, has a twist that we never saw coming. It starts with a woman trying to lose weight, and you see her stepping on the scales each day and working her way from treadmill walking to running. So far, so normal. But after she hits her target weight, following plenty of stress, her children find out that she was actually trying to lose 10 kilograms so that she could donate a liver to her husband.

Rather than being a simple weight loss ad, as you may have thought in the beginning, this was actually a call to action for organ donors. Despite all the signs pointing towards something unoriginal, the commercial transformed into a thought-provoking twist on the usual stories we see, and we were left in tears. See if you can make it through without reaching for the tissues...
