Awkward moment for Sylvia Jeffreys as reporter wears exact same jacket live on TV

When Sylvia Jeffreys crossed to Brisbane reporter Jess Millward during the TODAY show, she probably wasn’t expecting Jess to be wearing the “exact same” jacket. 

Of course, that’s exactly what happened - and both ladies handled the awkward situation like pros. Despite an initial look of shock from Sylvia, and an embarrassed grin from Jess, the pair quickly recovered.

Jess gave her weather report as planned, but Sylvia couldn’t resist commenting on the wardrobe slip, saying, “Safe to say Jess, neither of us will need our jackets over the weekend.”

The incident has already been dubbed “jacketgate two”, in reference to the infamous moment earlier this year when Amber Sherlock asked fellow reporter Julie Snook toput a jacket on over her white top. Jess made reference to this, saying: 

'Well, we've got two,' before adding: 'I hope no one leaks what you said to me in the break!'  

Sylvia’s co-host Karl Stefanovic then chimed in saying “They're not the same jackets are they?”

“They're exactly the same,” Sylvia replied.
