'Stupid things couples fight about' hashtag keeps on giving

Imogen Dewey

Stupid things couples fight about: the list is endless. And accordingly, this week's hashtag #stupidthingscouplesfightabout is taking the internet accordingly by storm as every person on Twitter (well, almost), single or partnered up, weighs in.

Is it a stupid fight, or is it the end of the road? Listen to this episode of 9Honey's hit podcast Life Bites:

The reason it's so enjoyable to scroll through is because of a basic universal truth: most people's fights are really, really dumb. And the reason we know this is because, as Twitter reveals, everyone seems to have exactly the same ones.

Especially about toilet paper.

Or lack thereof:

Are we really so mundane? Well, yes. If you need more proof, there are the 'kitchen fights'.

And, er, 'kitchen utensil fights':

These kitchen fights get some people so down, they just eat out:

Or go to bed. But this, too, turns out to be dangerous ground.

First, you have to make it through even building the bed.

And for those who finally fall asleep, there are 'dream fights':

There's another category of fights that I'm just going to call 'honourable mentions':

The one thing they all have in common, these squabbles, is that they leave you wondering whther you were even fighting at all.

Which, obviously, is fertile ground for another fight.
