School girl's adorable admission leaves Bidens in hysterics
Ah, no one tells the truth like a child.
US President Joe Biden and his wife, first lady Dr Jill Biden discovered just how honest kids can be after a recent visit to Yorktown Elementary School in Virginia, where the year five students revealed what they liked and didn't like about remote learning.
The Biden's were visiting to promote the president's infrastructure program and speaking to the students about learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Although most kids were pretty happy to be back in the classrooms with their friends, some admitted there will be a few things they'll miss — like secret naps and utilising the mute button on the microphone.

When asked how they found online learning, the Bidens were met with mixed responses. Some loved learning in their pyjamas while others are thrilled to be back.
"It was a little difficult with all the glitches," one girl said. "But it ended up being pretty good."
Others focussed on the less functional side of things, admitting there will be some aspects to online learning they will definitely miss.
"It was kind of fun," another student commented. "Sometimes when [the teacher] was paying attention to someone else you could eat and it was fine."

"Sometimes, if we were really tired we could have a little nap," another confessed, much to the amusement of her class and the Biden's.
"Oh yeah you turn off the camera, I've seen that!" Dr. Biden laughed, with the same girl making another admission.
"If you don't know the question, you can just pretend like your mic doesn't work," she said.
The first lady laughed again, responding "oh, great!"
At least teachers will know what to keep an eye out for on future Zoom lessons!
