Woman 'kicked out' of Stevie Nicks concert for dancing

Jo-anne George remembers the good old days when you could go to a gig and really let your hair down.

"I've seen Bruce Springsteen, Maroon 5, Rod Stewart and I danced.. I mean that's why you go to concerts, so you can enjoy yourself dancing" she told me.

And if there's any place bringing out your dancing shoes should be OK, it's a concert right?  Well not for this mum of two who claims bouncers dragged her out of a venue, simply because she wouldn't sit down.

Jo-anne was at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena last Thursday night to watch superstar songstress Stevie Nicks.

At first she says lots of people were up and dancing in the floor area while the Pretenders were warming up the crowd.  But during Stevie's set, she claims it was a different story.

"Security basically told me to sit down, I can't dance.  I said I'm paying $204 for a ticket, I'm here to dance".

But after numerous warnings she says three guards came over to evict her. "It was supposed to be a terrific night, you know fun and laughter and it turned out to be an absolute disaster."

Her mate Gary James was there and says "I witnessed her being thrown to the ground and set upon by at least three security guards... In front of a packed stadium."

Melbourne and Olympic Parks have told A Current Affair that Jo-Anne was causing disruption to other patrons.

"After failing to cooperate was ejected in accordance with our Conditions of Entry.  It is important to us that fans are able to enjoy themselves at our venues, however this should not be to the detriment of others."

It's been a horrible experience for this bright and bubbly 57 year old. But don't think it'll keep her down.

"Never, I'll never stop dancing... no way."
