D&G tell critics to 'go to hell' after First Lady wears their blazer

Stefano Gabbana, one half of the infamous design duo Dolce and Gabbana, has told his critics to "go to hell" after he revealed Melania Trump was wearing one of his designs in her first official White House portrait.

He thanked the First Lady on Instagram for her support after the picture was revealed yesterday, and labeled the heavily airbrushed shot "beautiful".

"#DGWoman BEAUTIFUL #melaniatrump Thank you us #madeinitaly", he captioned the portrait, in which Trump wears a Dolce and Gabbana blazer and her now notorious 25 carat diamond engagement ring, only to generate a heated debate from his 930,000 followers.

Ten thousand people have since liked the post, while 745 have commented — either posting messages or support or telling him they no longer support the label.

Gabbana responded by telling critics "Vai a cagare", an Italian saying which translates to "Go to hell".

To another commentator who said D&G had lost an admirer and follower, the designer said "I don't care!! Really". This isn't the first time Gabbana has supported the Trumps on social media. He's previously applauded both Melania and Ivanka Trump for wearing Dolce and Gabbana designs.
