Charles 'gives blessing' to Andrew and Fergie to remarry

King Charles has reportedly given his blessing to Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, to remarry each other.

According to royal author Ephraim Hardcastle, a source told him that King Charles "indicated" that "he would give his blessing."

But it comes with the caveat of a small chapel wedding at All Saints Chapel – where their daughter, Princess Beatrice, got married in a private ceremony in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Duke and Duchess of York became separated in 1992 after six years of marriage, with Andrew having pursued naval deployment as Fergie was left at home to raise their daughters, Princess Beatrice, 35 and Princess Eugenie, 33.

They officially divorced in 1996, but have continued to live together in the Royal Lodge ever since, with Fergie standing by her ex-husbands side throughout his involvement in legal matters and connections with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The self-proclaimed "happiest divorced couple" will not be going down the aisle anytime soon, however, if you ask royal expert Victoria Arbiter.

She told GB News, "There's long been speculation regarding whether or not Andrew and Fergie will remarry. But their current situation seems to suit them both well so why complicate things?

"Fergie's previously said they're the happiest divorced couple she knows so there's little to be gained by remarrying. They've always shown immense loyalty towards each other and clearly their relationship works exactly as it is."
