The royal baby is here! However, it turns out not everyone is as excited about the prince’s arrival as us.

But when we hit the streets of Sydney to gauge the reaction from everyday Aussies, the results were … mixed.

Opinions ranged from “I had no idea she was pregnant” and “I couldn’t care less about the royal baby” to “It’s brilliant” and “I think she looked stunning when she came out (with the new baby)”.

But the hot topic among everyone was what the young prince would be named.

Arthur and Albert were both top suggestions on the street.

But we think if the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are reading this article, they should listen to the wise words of this Sydney bloke.

“I’d be quite happy if they called the baby Phil, that’s my name,” he told 9Honey.

It can take up to a week for the palace to announce the name of new royals, with Princess Charlotte's being announced only two days after her birth in 2015.
