Queen Letizia of Spain reunites with Jordan's Princess Dina Mired at cancer event

Queen Letizia of Spain was reunited with a fellow royal at a global cancer meeting in Switzerland this week.
 
Letizia, 45, shared a warm greeting with Jordan’s Princess Dina Mired at the headquarters of Union Internationale Contre le Cancer in Geneva on Thursday. 

As ambassadors to cancer charities, the two women have encountered one another at previous events.

One of Princess Dina’s children is a survivor of cancer, while Queen Letizia revealed earlier this year that someone close to her had recently been touched by the illness.
 
Speaking at a forum hosted by the Spanish Association Against Cancer in February, the former journalist spoke of her loved one’s "complicated cancer" diagnosis.
