Today marks two years since the death of Queen Elizabeth II, who died peacefully in her sleep at the age of 96 during her Platinum Jubilee year.

Tributes have been flowing in for Britain's longest-serving monarch on the second anniversary of her death, including from members of her family.

The official Instagram page of The Royal Family led the social media tributes, posting a series of photos of the Queen, captioned, "Remembering Queen Elizabeth II, 1926-2022."

The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, wrote a touching tribute on her Instagram story, posting a picture of a doll honouring the late monarch.

"For the anniversary of Her Late Majesty, The Queen's passing l asked Stella McLaren, Her Majesty's hat maker and milliner to make a little outfit for Little Red to wear, as I believe it's so important to keep memories in all different ways.

"Stella was delighted to honour Her Late Majesty The Queen, whom Stella misses so much.

"You will notice the ladybirds, which Her Late Majesty The Queen absolutely loved. I encourage people to donate whatever they can to any of the many charities associated with Her Late Majesty the Queen."

"This weekend is particularly significant and poignant for the royal family, indeed for all of us in Scotland, across the wider UK and Commonwealth, because the 8th of September marks the second anniversary of the death of Her Majesty the Queen and His Majesty's accession to the throne.

"Like his late mother, His Majesty is very well known and liked in this community and is very much part of it. I remembered the royal family, along with all the people of this parish and the wider nation and Commonwealth in my prayers."

Additional family tributes to the late Queen Elizabeth II are expected to follow.
