Princess Eugenie reveals Grace Kelly was her inspiration for unique wedding look
Princess Eugenie has revealed Grace Kelly was the inspiration behind her unique wedding reception gown.
The 28-year-old married Jack Brooksbank at Windsor Castle in October of last year, and broke with tradition when she wore a blush silk gown for her evening reception.
The dress, which is currently on display as part of an exhibition at Windsor Castle, was designed by American fashion designer Zac Posen.

In an audio piece created for the exhibition, Princess Eugenie said she wanted something that mirrored the sophistication of the former Hollywood actress turned Princess of Monaco.
"I wanted something reminiscent of Grace Kelly in To Catch a Thief so I showed that for reference and Zac came up with this silk that he’d found from Manchester,” Princess Eugenie says in the audio recording, reports Town & Country.

“Every single draping effect, every single detail, every button, it’s all painstakingly done by him and his team.”
The final product was a romantic blush pink gown with a low-cut back, full-length sleeves and a sheer cape.
The designer also drew inspiration for the dress from “the beauty of Windsor and the surrounding countryside,” according to a statement released by the Royal family via its website, alongside photos from the wedding. Rather than the traditional choice of white or ivory, the pale pink colour was chosen to reflect the blush of an English rose.
Posen also had the White Rose of York subtly embroidered on the shoulder and back of the dress in tribute to Eugenie’s royal title as the Princess of York.
