Princess Beatrice's husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozz posts emotional tribute to late step-father

Princess Beatrice's husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi posted an emotional Instagram post about his late step-father, sharing a series of photos.

"Chrisdog, Pups, I can't believe it has been 10 years," the millionaire property developer wrote. "Not a day goes by without me thinking of you and leaning on all the lessons you taught me. "

"You once said on my 18th birthday that being my step-father was the greatest honour and privilege of your life," he continued. "I echo this, being your step-son is the greatest honour of my life and I would never be standing here today without you."

He went on to say he wishes his stepdad got to meet his son Wolfie, four, and the baby he and Beatrice are expecting later in the year.

"What joy they would have brought you," he said of his "3 soon to be 4 grandchildren. "

"I was just Wolfie's age when you came into my world and changed everything," he recalled. "You always believed in me, with unconditional love."

"You taught me honestly, laughter, hard work and empathy," he concluded the emotional tribute. "I love you today and always."

Beatrice and Edoardo first announced they are expecting their first child together in May, via a statement from Buckingham Palace.

The couple tied the knot in July 2020 in Windsor last year, attended by the Monarch and Prince Philip. They were forced to change their original celebrations due to lockdown restrictions in the UK.
