Prince Andrew's daughter Princess Beatrice reportedly backs out of Christmas plans last minute

Days before the royal family was set to enjoy the festive season, Princess Beatrice has reportedly changed her plans.

The daughter of Prince Andrew was due to fly overseas to spend Christmas with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and his family, but has been forced to stay in the UK on doctor's orders, as per Hello.

The royal is currently pregnant with her second child with Mozzi, already sharing their daughter, Sienna, three, and Edo's son from a previous marriage, Wolfie, eight.

The family will instead be joining the larger royal family for their Christmas in Norfolk, with the family being expected to make an appearance during the family's annual Christmas walkabout at the royal's Sandringham Estate.

Beatrice is expected to be the only member of the York family present at the royal family's Christmas event this year, with her sister, Princess Eugenie, expected to spend the holiday season with her in-laws.

Their father, Prince Andrew, Duke of York, has decided against taking part in the annual event after an associate, Yang Tengbo, was named as the alleged Chinese spy who has been banned from Britain, according to multiple media outlets in the UK.

Prince Andrew's ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, has also pulled out of plans to join the royal family at the Norfolk estate, after making her triumphant return into the royal fold last year.

The York sisters also made it to the royal family's pre-Christmas lunch ahead of the festive season.

The traditional event is a chance for the wider family to see each other before everyone goes their own way for the holiday season, with only half attending official celebrations in Sandringham.

In light of scrutiny around the Duke of York's association with an alleged Chinese spy it's understood the Duchess of York convinced Prince Andrew to skip the event.

Pregnant Beatrice arrived with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and stepson Christopher "Wolfie" Woolf, who was spotted in the back seat of their Range Rover.

Princess Eugenie's son August was spotted asleep in a Santa hat in the back as she and husband Jack Brooksbank pulled into the grounds of the London palace.
