Prince William’s odd move that sent Twitter into overdrive

As most of the world obsess over the newest addition to the Royal family, keeping track of every move, blanket brand and resemblance that baby Archie showcases, others have found a separate royal obsession – the possibility that Prince William has been posting from the Kensington Royal Twitter account.

Twitter lit up yesterday when eagle-eyed Royal watchers saw an unusual reply from @KensingtonRoyal, on a tweet by the Lionesses football team.

The Lionesses – who are the English female football team – shared a video publicising the date and time of their next match, which will be their first match of the FIFA world cup, in Austria.

The reply from Kensington Royal consisted of no words, simply the side-eye emoji – and Twitter went wild.

“Who gave William the new password,” one fan joked.

“Is KP [Kensington Palace] going rogue or is this a message from little Charlotte,” wrote another.

While others took the assumption as truth and took the time to bid the future King a good day.

Prince William, just happens to be the president of the Football Association which holds World Cups, and is a massive supporter of the women’s teams. At the same time the Lionesses account shared their video, Kensington Royal also shared one of William urging the nation to get behind the team for the upcoming tournament.

If it was William commenting, it wouldn’t be the first time the father of four has taken over the Palace’s account, with him personally tweeting in 2018 also in relation to getting behind the nations football team.
