What Prince William had to turn to YouTube to learn

He may be the future monarch of the Royal family, but that doesn't mean Prince William is exempt from experiencing the struggles most dads with daughters go through - hair time.

During an engagement in Blackpool earlier this week, Prince William and Kate Middleton visited a refurbished playground with support group Dads 4 Life.

According to a report from PEOPLE, The Duke of Cambridge had everyone in stitches – including his wife – when he revealed that he relies on YouTube tutorials to learn how to style his daughter's hair.

"Never try to do a ponytail!" William told the crowd. "Nightmare."

"I can do [Charlotte’s] ponytail, but that’s about it as I don’t have enough hair to practice on!" the 36-year-old added in jest.

It wasn't long before the Duchess chimed in with her own hair struggle. "Have you tried to do a plait [braid]? It’s the weaving…really hard," Kate revealed.

The Duchess clearly isn’t giving herself the credit she deserves. Just last week, the mother of three showed off her braiding skills as she styled the hair of a young performer during a charity visit to Northern Ireland’s Cinemagic, a charity that uses film, television and digital technologies to help more than 500,000 young people.

As you can see, she's definitely got skills.

There's no denying the fact that Princess Charlotte's hair always looks immaculate – we've seen her rock a flower crown, a very-fitting princess-pony and she's even embrace a hairclip on occasion. So, whatever the Royals are doing, it's working.

Thankfully Prince George and Louis' hair require less attention.
