Prince William honours Princess Diana's legacy with homelessness project

Prince William is walking in his late mother Princess Diana's shoes with his latest project.

The royal unveiled a teaser of his latest project on Instagram, aiming to eradicate homelessness.

In the short clip, the 42-year-old is asked where his passion for the issue comes from.

The new documentary is titled Prince William: We Can End Homelessness, and will soon be available on ITV and ITVX.

"I think it's really important that we can try and change, and tackle, the narrative around homelessness," the royal explained.

"People live with it, we see it every day in our lives, that's something I want to challenge."

According to the Independent, it will be following William as he meets a fire chief and a former homeless man, as well as showcasing his work with the charity Homewards project, which he launched in 2023.

Fans quickly drew comparisons between himself and his mother Diana, the late Princess of Wales.

She was also renowned for her work to eradicate homelessness, often taking William and his younger brother Prince Harry to homeless shelters to help them understand the nuances of the issue.

"I'm so excited for this documentary. I have no doubts your beloved mother, who took you to homeless shelters many times, is so proud of you," one fan wrote.

"Wonderful news with the documentary! Your mother, Lady Diana, is proud of you. She treated people as equals on various levels," added another.
