William and Kate share adorable photos for Prince Louis' first birthday

Prince Louis is one year old, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have marked the occasion with some seriously cute new photos.

(Yes, it's somehow been 12 months since we caught our first glimpse of the royal bub outside the Lindo Wing of London's St Mary's hospital.)

Following the tradition they've established with their first two children, the royal couple have shared a series of portraits captured by mum Catherine.

Louis, the little brother of Prince George and Princess Charlotte, is depicted playing outside at the Cambridges' home in Norfolk, Anmer Hall.

According to the Kensington Palace Instagram account, the photos were taken earlier this month.

The youngest Cambridge, whose birthday falls on April 23, looks pretty chuffed playing in the grass, and is dressed in two cosy jumpers.

If his older siblings' track record is anything to go by, Louis' adorable knits will sell out any moment now, such is the fashion influence of a royal offspring.

These photos are sure to satisfy the royal fans currently holding their breaths for the arrival of another royal baby, that of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

With Meghan due any day now, little Prince Louis will score the ultimate birthday present: a new cousin to play with.
