Resurfaced videos show Harry guiding Meghan in royal etiquette on the job
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Oprah interview delivered plenty of bombshell moments, but there were plenty of smaller reveals that surprised viewers.
One was the Duchess of Sussex's claim she wasn't formally prepared for the intricacies of life as a royal family member, including etiquette.

"Unlike what you see in the movies, there's no class on how to speak, how to cross your legs, how to be royal. There's none of that training," Meghan said.

"That was not something that was offered to me ... We were doing the training behind the scenes, because I just wanted to make them proud."

This included late-night Googling of the lyrics to the UK's national anthem and church hymns sang at official appearances.
Meghan also said Harry and Sarah, Duchess of York gave her an impromptu lesson in curtsying minutes before her first meeting with Queen Elizabeth.

In videos from Trooping the Colour in 2018 and 2019, the duke can be seen quietly giving Meghan instructions on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
In 2018 — Meghan's first time at event, which marks the Queen's birthday — lip readers deduced Harry prompted the former actress to curtsy to Her Majesty.
"Do it?" Meghan subtly asks, with Harry confirming, "Yes" seconds before she performs the move and he bows his head. You can watch that moment here:
Footage from 2019 shows Harry similarly instructing his wife to turn around in time for the national anthem after she turns to ask him something.
The latter clip (which you can watch at the top of the page) resurfaced on TikTok earlier this year, ahead of the Oprah interview. "She looks so sad, uncomfortable and embarrassed," one commenter noted.
With the Sussexes now 12 months into their new independent life, Meghan's days of curtsying and singing another country's national anthem are well and truly over.
