The countdown to the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's baby is officially on, and naturally royal fans are eager to find out what the couple will be naming their first child.

While there has been no official word on what the sex of Harry and Meghan's baby might be, nor the name, royal bookmakers appear to think a recent surge of bets could be a hint of the gender and the baby's potential moniker.

Many bet makers have put their money on the Sussexs' having a girl, and apparently Diana is a "red hot favourite" for the name choice, according to The Sun.

Victoria is also a strong contender.

"But the recent move is for Victoria, also 10/1 - I really like it," the spokesperson said. continued.

"We are still taking bets on gender - we are 8/11 for a girl, so the betting is suggesting there's a great chance it's a girl."
