Prince Harry and Meghan's The Archewell Foundation refute claims made against the charity
Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex have cleared up allegations that their charity was "delinquent" after the Archewell Foundation received a notice from California's Registry of Charities and Fundraisers.
According to documents obtained by E! News yesterday, the organisation was declared delinquent as it failed to "submit required annual report(s) and/or renewal fees," according to a notice issued by California Attorney General Rob Bonta.
"An organisation that is listed as delinquent is not in good standing and is prohibited from engaging in conduct for which registration is required, including soliciting or disbursing charitable funds," the notice continued.

However, today the charity clarified that they have been "fully compliant".
"We have diligently investigated the situation and can confirm that The Archewell Foundation remains fully compliant and in good standing," a spokesperson for The Archewell Foundation told 9honey in a statement today.
"Due payments were made promptly and in accordance with the IRS's processes and procedures. Furthermore, all necessary paperwork had been filed by the Foundation without error or wrongdoing."
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex created the Archewell Foundation soon after they left their roles as senior working members of the British royal family in 2020.
According to the charity's website, they "consciously partner with key organisations and leaders to identify immediate needs, build meaningful initiatives, and drive long-term change."

The Sussexes also added that they are "compliant with all deadlines and measures of the charitable sector and operates with complete transparency."
Harry and Meghan launched Archewell in October 2020 after leaving the royal family and commencing a new life as private citizens in the US.
The foundation was named in honour of the couple's eldest child, Archie.
