Prince Harry pens heartfelt letter to children who have lost a parent in war
Prince Harry has penned a heartfelt letter to children who have lost a parent in combat, referencing is own monumental loss of his late mother Princess Diana at age 12.
In the note sent to UK-based organisation Scotty's Little Soldiers, "a British charity supporting children whose parents have died while serving in the armed forces", the royal said he knew "perhaps more than most, the weight of losing a parent at a young age," after his mother's tragic demise in a car accident in 1997.
"It can be overwhelming and isolating. Yet, in the midst of that heartache, we find strength in the love and memories left behind, and I have seen how communities like yours can offer deep comfort and healing," he said.

The 40-year-old also spoke about the importance Britain's upcoming Remembrance Day could have in their healing journeys.
"In coming together to support one another, you not only honour the memories of your loved ones but also forge bonds that can and will carry you through the toughest times," he said.
"The tears and laughter, the shared experiences, and the moments of joy you create together are powerful reminders that love endures."
Finally, he highlighted the children's "resilience", telling them it is "a testament to the legacy of your loved ones.
"I have every confidence in your ability to make them proud and to shine bright in the world. All they want is for you to be happy."
Along with the letter, he also shared a photo in which he wore the charity's yellow and black striped scarf and a poppy pin, commemorating fallen service members.
