Prince Harry leaves flight attendant surprise gift in luggage during flight back to US

As Prince Harry made a hasty getaway from the UK back to his California home in the US following his historic phone hacking trial, he made sure to leave a little present for an unsuspecting flight attendant.

The air host in question, TikToker Holden Pattern snapped a quick photo with Harry on the American Airlines flight he was taking back to his Montecito home. Pattern beamed in the photo, calling Harry his "passenger prince".

He must have done a great job tending to Harry's needs, as his next Instagram story showed a "gift" – a copy of Prince Harry's memoir, Spare – that he found "in [his] luggage that a passenger gave to me".

Prince Harry dashed back to his family – wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and children Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet – after making a historic appearance in London courts, going up against Mirror Group Newspapers, accusing them of hacking his phone to obtain private information.

The Duke of Sussex was in fact reprimanded by the judge of the case for not appearing on the first day of trial, with the Prince instead spending the day celebrating his daughter Lilibet's birthday on June 4 before spending two days giving testimony in the trial, being the first royal to do so in 130 years.

He is also not expected to return to the UK to take part in Trooping the Colour, held on June 17, which celebrates his father, King Charles' birthday. It will be the first time his dad will celebrate the occasion as monarch.
