The moment Prince Harry lost his cool with a cameraman in Morocco

It's no secret Prince Harry has a tense relationship with the media, and a video from his recent tour of Morocco indicates the royal is still very much on guard.

Footage captured by UK channel ITV shows the Duke and Duchess of Sussex testing local cuisine during their three-day visit to the north African nation earlier this week.

Harry suddenly looks up and moves to the other side of wife Meghan towards a camera operator off-screen.

The prince, 34, then leans over and uses his hand to push the camera lens back before firmly gesturing for the operator to move back.

According to The Express, the camera had bashed into the head of one of the children presenting the food to the visiting royal couple.

After swatting away the camera, Harry appears to lean over and reassuringly touch the child's arm to check they're okay.

Having grown up in the public spotlight, Harry is accustomed to having camera lenses trained on his every move.

However, it's been observed that over the past year or so, the prince—along with his brother, Prince William—has become increasingly stand-offish towards the press.

This is an approach 9Honey reporter Natalie Oliveri observed while covering Harry and Meghan's Royal Tour of the Pacific last year.

"We follow them every step of the way, attend every engagement and bring light to issues they champion," she wrote when the tour wrapped up.

"Yet at all the events, the couple do not look at the media. They pass by pretending we’re not there."

This "cold shoulder" was also observed by longtime royal photographer Arthur Edwards in the leadup to the Sussexes' royal wedding in May 2019.

"He’s become — it’s no secret — he’s become very withdrawn. He doesn’t say 'good morning' to us anymore," Edwards, who has photographed the British royals for 40 years, told the New York Times.

"There’s a little bit of friction now, about us and them. My view is that they are taking control. The boys are taking control."

One correspondent has gone so far as to describe the young royals as "control freaks" where media coverage of their actions is concerned.
