How Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s granny spoils them at Christmas

Christmas is a wonderful time of year for any child, but Carole Middleton goes out of her way to make sure the season is extra special for her royal grandchildren.

Speaking to The Telegraph in a rare interview, the 63-year-old revealed how she does Christmas with the little prince and princess.

She explains that she likes to have as many Christmas trees as possible in her Buckleberry Manor home, located in Berkshire just an hour outside of London.

George and Charlotte each get their own tree in their rooms “so that they can decorate it themselves”.

It’s something they’re not likely to be doing in any of the royal palaces and adds an extra touch of fun to Christmas with granny Middleton.

“That makes me sound as though I live in a mansion, doesn’t it?” Carole jokes in the interview.

But her 7-bedroom home is a fair deal smaller than where George and Charlotte’s great-grandma lives in Buckingham palace, so we’re sure no one will mind.

Typically Duke and Duchess of Cambridge accompany the Queen and Prince Philip to Sandringham Palace for Christmas, along with the rest of the royal family.

But Kate’s younger brother James has hinted in an interview with German TV channel Leute Heuete that they may be stopping in to celebrate with the Middleton family too this year.

Either way, the Cambridges are sure to enjoy a break from royal life over the Christmas period.

And with baby Louis about to celebrate his first Christmas we’re sure he’ll be doted on no matter where the family celebrate.

We just wonder if Carole will be adding yet another tree to her Christmas list.
