The royal family have released a new portrait of Prince George to commemorate his 10th birthday today.

The official portrait sees the young royal sitting on the steps of the family's estate in Windsor, looking all grown up in a checkered blue button down shirt and teal pants, in line with what seems to be the Wales' signature colour.

"The Prince and Princess of Wales are pleased to share a new photograph of Prince George ahead of his tenth birthday tomorrow," Kensington Palace said in a statement last night of the photo taken by photographer Millie Pilkington.
