Prince Philip in hospital: Prince Charles shares update on father's health
As the Duke of Edinburgh spends a third night in hospital, Prince Charles has confirmed he's being well looked after.
Prince Philip, 98, was admitted to central London's King Edward VII's hospital before the weekend for "observation and treatment in relation to a pre-existing condition," with Buckingham Palace stating it was a "precautionary measure" rather than an emergency.

The heir apparent shared the update while visiting flood-affected communities in South Yorkshire on Monday, according to Hello Magazine.
"He's being looked after very well in hospital," the Prince of Wales stated. "At the moment that's all we know."

When another member of the public asked the royal "Sir, how is your father?", Charles responded: "Alright. When you get to that age things don't work so well!"
The Queen hasn't made any changes to her schedule during her husband of 72 years' hospital stay, with the monarch, 93, attending Sunday service at St Mary Magdelene Church without the Duke. Instead, she was accompanied by daughter-in-law Sophie, Countess of Wessex.

It's expected Prince Philip's family will be hoping he'll be discharged in time to attend the annual Sandringham holiday festivities, though there's been no confirmation as to whether he'll be well enough.
The royal holiday tradition typically sees the family exchanging gag gifts on Christmas eve and attending Christmas service the following morning.

If Prince Philip isn't discharged in time, he won't be the only royal missing from the festivities; this year, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have announced they'll be skipping the family tradition for a Christmas in Canada with young son Archie.
The Cambridges are also expected to be breaking tradition and sharing some big news over Christmas, with royal expert Omid Scobie telling the Mirror to "Expect royal announcements over the holidays."
