Palace plans ‘aggressive strategy’ to shut down Thomas Markle

Despite the never-ending verbal onslaught from Meghan Markle’s estranged family members, Kensington Palace has so far remained silent.

Not even this week’s three-pronged attack from the Duchess’ father and half-siblings garnered a reaction from the royals who traditionally refuse to comment on personal issues for the sake of maintaining both professionalism and privacy.

But that might be about to change. The Palace is reportedly on the verge of taking a more “aggressive strategy” to shut down the ‘Markle debacle’ and put an end to the ongoing attacks made by Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, and half-siblings Samantha and Thomas Jr Markle via media interviews and social media rants.

“The Palace, which normally takes a firm policy of not commenting on personal matters, is now considering a more aggressive strategy to deal with the situation with both [Meghan’s] father and her sister,” a royal source told Entertainment Tonight.

“No one wants to see this continue.”

Thomas Markle Sr, a retired Hollywood lighting director who now lives in Mexico, first tainted his relationship with the royals when he made a dodgy deal with paparazzi to stage photos leading up to his daughter’s wedding.

Since then, he has appeared in countless media interviews attacking Meghan, her husband countless media interviews and the Queen.

In one interview, he claimed that Meghan has completely ostracised him, and shut him out of her life.

“I’m really hurt that she’s cut me off completely.

“I used to have a phone number and text number for her personal aides at the Palace, but after I said a few critical words about the Royal Family changing Meghan, they cut me off.”

Meanwhile, the Duchess’ half-sister Samantha Markle has launched attacks on Meghan, slamming her for being “inhumane” and threatening to hold the duchess responsible if Thomas Markle passes away.

Like her father, Samantha has come forward with several different stances. In this interview she begs for a family reunion.

Meghan’s half-brother Thomas Jr has also regularly dragged the Duchess’s name through the mud.

Before the Royal Wedding, he penned an open letter to Prince Harry claiming that Meghan is a "jaded, shallow, conceited woman that will make a joke of you and the royal family heritage."
