Meghan Markle launches her new Netflix series called With Love, Meghan after returning to social media

Meghan Markle is returning to our screens! 

The Duchess of Sussex has announced on her newly launched Instagram account that she is working with Netflix to produce her latest series, With Love, Meghan.

The lifestyle series is set to premiere on January 15th, with Meghan being credited as both the host and executive producer.

In a new post, Meghan shared the trailer for her upcoming show, captioning it: "I have been so excited to share this with you!"

"I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it. Wishing you all a fantastic new year! Thanks to our amazing crew and the team @netflix. Beyond grateful for the support — and fun! As ever, Meghan."

The mother-of-two was shown cooking in the kitchen, arranging flowers, working with a beehive and hosting a mixture of friends and guests, including Prince Harry.

"I've always loved taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it," she says in the clip, filmed in California and accompanied by The Lovin' Spoonful's Do You Believe in Magic.

"Surprising people with moments that let them know I was really thinking of them."

"We're not in the pursuit of perfection, we're in the pursuit of joy," she says in the trailer. "Love is in the details."

An eight-episode series, with each instalment running 33 minutes, With Love, Meghan will feature a star-studded cast of guests.

The lineup includes her longtime makeup artist Daniel Martin and photographer Delfina Blaquier, wife of polo star Nacho Figueras, a close friend of Prince Harry, actress-producer Mindy Kaling and Tracy Robbins, wife of Paramount CEO Brian Robbins.

Other guests include Godmothers Bookstore co-founder Jennifer Rudolph Walsh, Tatcha founder Vicky Tsai, fellow Suits star Abigail Spencer, and Kelly McKee Zajfen, co-founder of Alliance of Moms, as well as restaurateurs Roy Choi and Ramon Velazquez.

Directed by Michael Steed, the series is part of Meghan and Prince Harry's Archewell Productions and The Intellectual Property Corporation, a division of Sony Pictures Television.

Previously, they starred in the Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan.

The new series follows Meghan and Harry's five-part docuseries Polo, which premiered in December.

Meghan also recently unveiled her upcoming lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, which has yet to officially launch. 

Since stepping back from their royal roles in 2020, the duo have pursued a financially independent life and split their time between the UK and North America.

In a 2021 CBS interview, Harry explained why they had been working on these commercial deals, claiming that they had been left without a source of income when they exited the palace. 

"My family literally cut me off financially, and I had to afford security for us," he claimed. "[I was cut off] in the first quarter of 2020. But I've got what my mum left me and without that, we would not have been able to do this."
