According to the royal biography Finding Freedom, Meghan wasn't sure what to get her future brother-in-law Prince William.

"Meghan's biggest challenge was finding the perfect novelty gifts to amuse her new extended family," wrote authors Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie.

"At least one of her gifts was a huge hit – a spoon for William that had 'cereal killer' embossed on the shallow bowl end of the utensil."
Meghan accumulated a record of impressing the royal family with her gifts, notably the late Queen Elizabeth II who was overjoyed at Meghan's gift of a singing hamster on a string – which the royal corgis thoroughly enjoyed.

Gift giving and tradition can often be a means of resolving conflict.
This year, despite standing divided following the release of Harry and Meghan's Netflix docuseries, the Fab Four are reported to be exchanging gifts for their respective children over Christmas, in keeping with the royal family tradition.
It has been reported William's three children will be receiving gifts from their aunt and uncle in the US.
Likewise, Harry and Meghan's children Archie, three, and Lilibet, one, are also expecting presents from across the pond, a royal insider told People.
