Why Meghan's latest outfit is sparking baby speculation

New photos have emerged of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex walking the red carpet at the Endeavour Fund Awards. Meghan wore a sophisticated bespoke Givenchy white shirt and black skirt, but there was one tiny outfit detail that's got people talking.

Royal fashion blog What Meghan Wore have posted a close up photo of the Duchess' pink ruby ring with a diamond band. The ring is not a regular piece of jewellery worn by Meghan, causing speculation that the Duchess was dropping hints about the gender of her baby.

Several people have commented on the post and are sure the Duchess is expecting a girl.

The ring causing all the chatter is by Canadian eco-brand, Ecksand, a brand Meghan has worn before.

This isn't the first time people have speculated that there could be a little princess on the way. Bookmakers Paddy Power have suspended betting on the gender of Prince Harry’s first child following an overwhelming number of bets of it being a girl.

Paddy Power have reported an “identical pattern of betting” on this occasion, and are convinced the Duke and Duchess will welcome a princess, with 'Diana' being the leading choice of name.

Meanwhile another bookmaker, Ladbrokes, is predicting that Meghan will give birth in March, with the odds at 5/6.

Once the royal baby is born, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to move into Frogmore House in Windsor, which is currently being renovated.
