Meghan Markle secretly visited her mum over Easter

No matter how old you are, or where you live, sometimes you just need some 'Mum time' - even when you’re as famous as Meghan Markle.

The 36-year-old is busy preparing for her May 19 wedding to Prince Harry, but she’s reportedly found time to squeeze in one last visit to the US to see mother Doria Ragland.

According to royal contributor Omid Scobie, Markle flew to Los Angeles - where Ragland is based - from her new base in London last Thursday.

It’s not known whether the actress, who recently completed her role on legal drama Suits, has already returned to the UK.

This trip likely explains why Markle didn’t join her future in-laws, including Queen Elizabeth and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, at the Easter Sunday church service in Windsor Castle.

Ragland and Thomas Markle Snr, a Hollywood lighting director, divorced when their daughter was six, though the split is said to have been amicable.

The pair released a joint statement when the royal engagement was announced last November.

“Our daughter has always been a kind and loving person,” it read.
