Meghan's first TV interview confirmed following royal split

Meghan Markle will give her first television interview since she and Prince Harry officially left the royal family on 31 March.

But don't get your hopes up for any gossip about the split.

The Duchess of Sussex is set to appear on Good Morning America to talk about her latest project with Disney, according to The Sun.

She did voice over narration for the movie Elephant in exchange for a wildlife charity donation, shortly before she and Harry left the monarchy.

Though royal fans are eager to hear the duchess discuss her and Harry's royal exit, as well as details about their young son Archie, who will turn one next month, it's unclear if she'll touch on the topics.

TV ads promoting the appearance have already aired in the US, sparking interest into the royal's appearance and how it will go down.

"On GMA Monday, Meghan Markle with an exclusive first look at the Disney documentary Elephant," a voice-over says in the clip.

It's unclear if the duchess will appear live or in a pre-recorded segment.

With lockdown rules extended in Los Angeles this week, it would be difficult for Meghan to visit a TV set for a live interview, meaning she could appear via video link.

Earlier this week she appeared in a Zoom call with women from the Hubb Community Kitchen, one of the first organisations she worked with after marrying into the royal family in 2018.

She commended the group on their work during the coronavirus pandemic, which has seen the UK in lockdown for weeks, and supported a new charity effort the Hubb Community Kitchen is working on.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been actively supporting charity causes in both the UK and US over the past weeks, donating time and money to supporting the less fortunate during the coronavirus pandemic.

This week they donated profits from their wedding to a UK charity working to feed vulnerable people in London, before volunteering for a similar group in LA and delivering meals in person.

Their increased focus on charity work comes not long after the pair announced their new organisation, Archewell, and faced backlash for the "poor timing" of the announcement.

Meghan's Good Morning America interview will air in the US on Monday morning (American time).
