Meghan actually seemed delighted to be called a 'fat lady'
While 'fat' is not a word you'd usually pick to describe the consistently flawless Meghan Markle, it seems to be a word she doesn't mind hearing.
Overnight, the Duchess of Sussex visited Mayhew animal shelter for the first time since being named patron. The Mayhew Animal Home & Humane Education Centre is an animal welfare charity that helps to rehome dogs, cats, bunnies and other at-risk creatures.

While meeting various staff and volunteers at the shelter, Meghan encountered a woman who introduced herself as "Peggy" and gave the former actress an interesting compliment.
The woman began by showering the Duchess with praise, saying she was a "lovely lady" and, it's a bit hard to hear in the video, but seemed to have blessed her.
Then, she joyfully added that Meghan was a "fat lady" to which the mum-to-be laughed and answered, "I'll take it!"
It was clear from the woman's tone and gesture that the label of "fat lady" was referring to the late stage of Meghan's pregnancy – that being a "fat lady" is something to be proud of. (Which, I want to stress, is also true of a woman who isn't pregnant.)
During her visit to the shelter, Meghan, dressed in a stylish all-beige outfit, also got the chance to play with the puppies up for adoption.
While holding a sweet Jack Russell terrier named Minnie, Meghan reportedly lamented, "We can’t take another dog before the baby as our hands are too full". Her and Prince Harry adopted a dog a few months ago and one of her dogs from Toronto, a beagle named Guy, lives with them too.

The 37-year-old has long been an advocate for animal welfare – she makes a point of eating and dressing ethically – so it makes sense that the Queen gave the patronage to the newly minted Duchess.
More dog/Meghan Markle crossover content, I say!
