What King Charles said after being egged, according to a lipreader
A lipreader has revealed the words King Charles uttered after being egged on Wednesday morning during a walkabout in Yorkshire.
The King and Queen Consort Camilla were in the City of York for a welcoming ceremony at Micklegate Bar on the second day of their royal tourgreeting well-wishers lining the streets.
But their outing was soon disrupted by an unexpected missile in the form of a humble egg, which barely missed the King as he turned his head to avoid it.

Three more were thrown before the royals were moved away from the crowds by security, with the words, "This country was built on the blood of slaves," heard from the crowd.
After King Charles turned to look at the egg splattered on the ground, he reportedly said, "It's fine, let's carry on," according to lip reading expert Jeremy Freeman.

Another officer had asked him, "Everything alright?", but the King didn't seem to respond.
After the incident, crowds booed at the alleged protester and chanted "God Save the King" and "shame on you".

The police have detained the alleged egg-thrower, taking him away in a police van as the royals continued their engagement.
