Kate Middleton echoes King Charles with Harvard tradition during solo Boston outing
Catherine, Princess of Wales, has made early childhood education a priority, dropping by Harvard University solo to visit its Centre on the Developing Child during her three-day trip to Boston with husband Prince William.
The mother-of-three spoke to experts and researchers on the scientific advances that can benefit children in the future, diligently taking notes throughout the conversation.
"I was very inspired by how serious she is in wanting to lean into an early childhood agenda," commented Jack Shonkoff, Centre Director of Harvard's Center on the Developing Child, per People.

"It was remarkably relaxed and informative. It was a lovely one hour that we spent with her," he continued.
"I see her as very motivated in having an impact on the world. She is personally an understated person, there was no sense of an ego in the room.
"You really get a sense that she understands the power of her platform and has a desire to do good and make a difference."

The Princess of Wales has, in the past few years, been dedicated to bettering the lives of children, especially in the first five years. She herself launched the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood just last year.
Catherine even penned an op-ed in last week's edition of The Telegraph ahead of her Boston trip about the importance of nurturing children in the early years of their lives.
"Over the past 10 years, talking to a wide range of experts about how we deal with societal issues, like poor mental and physical health, I have become more and more sure of one thing: if we are going to create a healthier and happier society for future generations, we must start by understanding and acknowledging the unique importance of the first five years of life," she wrote.

Catherine also created somewhat of a Harvard tradition, signing the guest book just like her father-in-law, the then-Prince Charles, did 36 years ago on his visit to the university.
The Prince and Princess of Wales are in Boston for three days to host the Earthshot Prize, one of Prince William's most ambitious personal projects. The prize awards five winners each year for their contribution environmentalism and solutions to climate change.
Their trip, however, has been marred by fresh accusations of racism back at Buckingham Palace, and the release of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Netflix documentary trailer.
