While the annual event is in honour of the monarch's birthday, all eyes were on Kate, and in the hours after the event, many have picked apart the different elements of her outfit, noting all the small sentimental details she included.
She wore a white Jenny Packham dress for the occasion, which fans quickly noticed was a subtle nod to King Charles.
The last time she was seen in the dress was on May 5, 2022 at the King's coronation.

It is thought that by choosing a dress that was "last worn for such an important moment for the King, it is a nod of support and honour for the monarch on his official birthday", reports The Telegraph UK.
In her role as Colonel of the Regiment of the Irish Guards, Kate also wore a Regimental Irish Guards Brooch.

Fans were quick to recognise her 18ct gold earrings, designed to resemble the stalks of cauliflower adorned in pearls and diamonds.
The last time she was seen wearing the earrings was in fact back in 2018 at the Chapel Royal of St James' Palace in London for Prince Louis' christening.
She also wore a black and white striped bow to the right side of her collar with a matching belt, and a white angled hat by Philip Treacy.
