Catherine, Princess of Wales' heartfelt message to 'all those who have lost their lives to cancer'

Catherine, Princess of Wales has shared a heartfelt message to those affected by cancer, after recovering from the disease herself.

The royal, 43, shared a video of herself at the Ever After Garden, an art installation in Chelsea, London, which raises funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

The garden is filled with 30,000 illuminated white roses, with supporters able to dedicate one in memory of someone who died of cancer.

The Princess of Wales was seen in the video speaking and laughing with volunteers, even writing her own note to those who lost their battle to the disease.

It read: "In loving memory of all those who have lost their lives to cancer. C."

In the caption, the mother-of-three wrote, "Thank you to all those who have contributed to the Ever After Garden, which raises vital funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

"Every flower, every light, is a memory held together, an illumination of shared love, remembrance, and hope," she wrote.

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity thanked the princess.

"Thank you to Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales, for such a moving visit to the Ever After Garden today. The garden is an incredibly special place for so many, and we were so glad to share it with The Princess. ❤️" they said.

"We know the festive period can be a time of mixed emotions for many and that the opportunity to take a moment for quiet reflection and remember those we love who are no longer with us, is so important."

Catherine underwent a planned abdominal surgery in January 2024.

Increased media attention meant that she revealed her cancer diagnosis in a video message in March 2024, after which she said she underwent "preventative chemotherapy."

Catherine finished the treatment in late 2024, and said she was in remission in January 2025.

She has not said what type of cancer she had.
