Prince William and kids threw Kate a 'tea party' for her birthday in lockdown
The Duchess of Cambridge is the latest royal to celebrate her birthday in lockdown, and her family came up with a rather delightful idea to mark the occasion.
According to the Daily Mail, Prince William enlisted the help of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to put together a tea party for Kate, who turned 39 on Saturday.

No word on whether cucumber sandwiches made an appearance, but we like to imagine so.
It was a "quiet" birthday for the Duchess and her family, who are isolating at their country home in Norfolk, Anmer Hall, during the UK's third lockdown period.
However, that's not likely to have fazed the mum of three; in fact, it sounded right up her alley.

"Catherine isn't one for lots of fuss or big parties—being with William and the children is her favourite way of spending her birthday," an insider told Vanity Fair.
In a message from the Cambridges' social media accounts, Kate acknowledged how COVID-19 had universally changed birthday celebrations, hers included.

"Birthdays have been very different in recent months, and our thoughts continue to be with all those working on the front line at this hugely challenging time," the message read.
The official social media profiles for the Queen and Prince Charles also shared birthday wishes for Kate.

Pre-pandemic, Kate has typically celebrated her January 9 birthday with friends and extended family, often hosting parties at Anmer Hall.

William, Kate and their children returned to the country manor ahead of Christmas, having spent the last few months of 2020 in their Kensington Palace apartment.
They are expected to remain in Norfolk during the lockdown, which is in place until at least February in an effort to curb spiking COVID-19 infections in the UK.
In the meantime, George and Charlotte will be resuming remote learning, as schools across the UK have closed to most pupils under the new rules.
