First look at Kate Middleton's sweet bedtime story on BBC children's show
The Duchess of Cambridge has shared a special message with young fans in her appearance on the British television program CBeebies.
Narrating a favourite storybook of hers, The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark by Jill Tomlinson, Kate Middleton tells her young watchers in the newly-released snippet that "with the help of others, we can often face things that worry us".
The first preview clip, released overnight — watch above — was recorded at Kensington Palace in January, and sees Kate sat on a grassy floor, surrounded by a stick teepee and campfire.

The duchess' upcoming appearance on the programme marks the end of Children's Mental Health week in the UK, which runs from February 7 to 13.
The theme of this year's awareness week was Growing Together, with the aim of encouraging children and adults to "consider how they have grown and how they can help others to grow". It was a theme Kate was sure to touch on in her final message.
"Wow, what an encouraging tale. We can all feel scared sometimes, just like our little own friend Plop, but as Mrs Barn Owl said, it's better to find out about the things that scare us before we make up our mind," the mum of three says in the clip.

"And with the help of others, we can often face things that worry us. Now it's time for bed. Night night, and sleep tight."
In the rare appearance, Kate joined a list of celebrity and influential faces who have previously graced the screen for the Bedtime Story segment. Some familiar names include Ed Sheerna, Tom Hardy and Dolly Parton.

The storybook, hand-picked by the duchess, was first published in 1968, and a favourite of Kate's as a child, the Daily Mail reports. She reportedly now reads it to her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
