There's no denying the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been killing it at the Instagram game since they split off from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Kensington Palace—they've gained an impressive 8.5m followers in just two and a half months.

However, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have stayed noticeably absent on the Twitter sphere, putting all their eggs in the Instagram basket.

But that didn't stop a Twitter account being set up called 'SussexRoyal19' around the same time as the Instagram page.

The Twitter account has been posting many milestone moments, which seemingly could pass off as being an official royal account. In fact, it does have over 13,000 followers.

The bio of the account states it is "The official Twitter account of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex".

However on Saturday, the faux Sussex Royal page exposed itself as 100 per cent fake after it posted a photograph claiming to be Meghan and Harry's new bub, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.

While some of the followers believed the snap was of baby Archie, it didn't take long for outraged royal fans to expose the Twitter page for being fake, with some encouraging people to "report and block" the page.

Meanwhile others were able to pinpoint where the photo of the baby, who is not Archie, came from.

The baby actually belongs to Instagram fitness influencer, Bella Kraus.

The Twitter post has now been deleted, but the fake page is still active.

It's safe to say any time you want to see a photograph of baby Archie from Meghan and Harry, their Instagram page is the best port of call.
